REal Ales, real food

13th Century Free House in South Devon.
About Us

THE Public House

The Journey's End  is a 13th century free house in the village of Ringmore, which is on the South Devon coast in an area known as the South Hams. Having four fires to enjoy in the winter months and with a main Bar area, nelsons bar, dining room, the story room, conservatory and large beer garden, there’s plenty of room for everyone in the family.

Well supported by local residents, it manages to combine being a friendly village ‘local’, as well as a destination food pub. Surrounded by thriving market towns, stunning scenery and walks both coastal and inland The Journeys End  is a perfect place to stop and relax.

REAL ALES

Here at The JE we pride ourselves in our range of perfectly cask conditioned real Devon Ales. Served in a gravity driven manner through rustic brass taps in a choice of either a traditional handle or straight pint glass.

We have new ales on a weekly basis - with typically two barrels tapped at any given time. Ranging from dark to light ales with variations of tastes from ‘hoppy’ to sweet.

Not only do we offer excellent Ales, but we are happy to now offer our own JE craft larger brewed 6 miles from our very door!

Visited this off the beaten track inn today whilst looking for a cream tea. Found one here and both it and the place were fantastic! Chillies growing in the ceiling of the modern conservatory using hydroponics, it has several bars and offers a range of ales. Popular with walkers and dogs! Highly recommend visiting this place.

Fantastic menus, top notch food and excellent atmosphere. This pub is everything a local Devon pub should be with great real ales straight from the barrel. I hope this pub never gets the "gastropub" treatment, which has ruined so many excellent "locals" always looking for an excuse to go here.

What a beautiful old pub, great beer, cosy snug with a real fire. Didn’t eat but the food looked great and it was busy.
